What's the difference between P700 V2.0 and the newer POR V3.0?

The POR V3.0 adds bi-directional control (active tests) and an expanded set of service functions. The P700 V2.0 focuses on core OE-level diagnostics plus the 9 most-used service functions — a smart choice for everyday maintenance at a more accessible price.

The P700 V2.0 cannot recognize my vehicle by AutoVIN, does it mean the device is faulty?

It doesn't mean the device is faulty. You can send your vehicle VIN to our support team; we will check if AutoVIN function supports your vehicle. If not available yet, you can manually select the vehicle model to diagnose, normal functions won't be affected. Our R&D team will add your VIN information into the database and release relevant updates later.

DTCs can be read normally but fail to be cleared or reappear after clearance, why?

Please keep ignition on and engine off. Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes.

Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance.

A small number of SRS/ABS fault codes can only be cleared after completing active (bi-directional) tests, which require a tool with bi-directional control such as the POR V3.0

The device turns on but cannot establish a diagnostic connection. What should I do?

Please verify your vehicle model and production year. P700 V2.0 supports Porsche models manufactured from 1996 to 2025. Certain service functions for 2024 vehicles are still being optimized. Disable the vehicle power-saving mode and update your firmware and software to the latest version.

So far so good.No other scanner worked.This one got ALL. The codes. And I mean, like every single code you can think of. This thing picked up ALL sensors.Have not tried the bidirectional yet. But it did everything else. So I imagine I can.

This was the second code reader I purchased from these guys. The first one did not work on my 2014 panamera. That one was a por2. This one did work and cleared the oil change light.

Everything worked as described

I received the shipment on time. I plugged the device into my car and was able to reset the oil change fault just by following the steps on youtube. If your car is no longer under warranty and you are getting your oil changed from someone other than the dealer or doing it yourself this makes resetting the warning lights simple to do.

Doesn't reset battery in Porsche Macan

Bought this to do a battery reset in my Porsche Macan. It did not work and it's a known problem which I wasn't aware of before my purchase. Other than that issue, everything else seems to work ok.

09 997.2 4S. Purchased for resetting service interval and airbag warning. Performed both in less than 5 minutes. Went with this version over the 1.0 because I wasn't certain if could do the battery registration with the 1.0. I did not update software just took it out of box , plugged it in and went to work. Update may not be necessary for pre 992 generation. Paid for itself already.

BEST INVESTMENT AND TOOL FOR MY 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S I've gotten yet.I left the key in the ignition (off position) and when I went to use the car 5 days later the battery was dead. After putting 12 volts into the cigarette lighter for a few minutes I was able to open the trunk and put the charger on the battery. When battery was charged up and I was able to start the car, my AIRBAG WARNING LITE was on. Before I would have to go to the shop to have it extinguished but now I can do it myself with my P700 V2.0 unit.I also must mention THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS TOP SHELF! Just go to their site, go to contact and send your questions to their support department. Successfully reset the service indicator on my 2017 911 (991.2 Generation)

I bought this mainly to reset the service indicator after oil changes in my 2017 911. I tried it and it works for that. It seems to have a lot more capabilities than this including diagnostics and registering a new battery and I haven��t really used these yet. I know that a cheaper option for reading and resetting OBD2 codes is to use the small wireless OBD2 devices that connect to apps on your phone which you can find on Amazon (apps include Carista and EOBD-Facile). I had used one of those on my prior 2005 Boxster but I don��t think these can reset maintenance indicators. So depending on what you need there may be cheaper options available.
