What's the difference between LR V2.0 and the newer LR V3.0?

The ultimate upgrade of the LR V3.0 over the LR V2.0 is its newly added Bi-Directional Control (Actuation Tests) capability and a significantly expanded range of service reset functions, both of which are completely unsupported on the LR V2.0.

The LR V2.0 cannot recognize my vehicle by AutoVIN, does it mean the device is faulty?

Not at all. AutoVIN depends on individual vehicle ECU protocols. If AutoVIN skips your car, simply use the Manual Selection mode—all diagnostic and service functions will work perfectly. Meanwhile, please send your VIN to our support team; we will verify it and add it to our database in the next software update.

DTCs can be read normally but fail to be cleared or reappear after clearance, why?

Please keep ignition on and engine off. Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes.

Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance.

Some fault codes of systems like SRS and ABS can only be cleared after finishing bidirectional tests.

The scanner powers on but fails to establish a diagnostic connection. What causes this issue?

Please check the following steps to troubleshoot:

Check Vehicle Compatibility: Ensure your vehicle is a Jaguar/Land Rover (1996-2025).
Turn Off Power-Saving: Disable any eco/battery-saving modes on the vehicle that might shut down modules during diagnosis.
Update Device: Update both the firmware and vehicle software to the latest versions.
Check Ignition: Ensure the vehicle key is turned to the "ON" position.

I bought this for general maintenance on my 2011 Jaguar XK Coupe. I used it to get rid of fault warnings on nonessential electronics but that was about all. Then a few weeks ago my TPMS started showing low tire pressure on my driver's display. It was very annoying, as it would flash on and off intermittently. Checked the tire inflation and all's OK. It looked like it was a bad sender or a bad TPMS module -- $$$$ plus. Then I thought of my diagnostic analyzer. Fired it up and went through all of the TPMS procedures and -- and -- the problem disappeared! No more low tire warning indicator. My analyzer has paid for itself.

Great scanner for removing fault codes in Range Rover

I’m so pleased with my purchase! I have a 2003 Range Rover which are notorious for air suspension issues. After searching for a compatible scanner to erase the fault codes . This one was a success .It’s very easy to use , great value and was shipped out immediately. Thank you Amazon and seller for a job well done!

Good scanner for the do it yourself or for someone who just can’t afford professional scan tool

I bought this to use on range rover and Jag so far it’s been a good tool. I do have more expensive professional scanners. It diagnosed all the problems I was having I haven’t had any issues with it more features would be nice but I think it’s a good value for the money. This is an inexpensive Good scanner for the do it yourself or for someone who just can’t afford professional skin tools it will do a lot but it won’t do everything if you’re looking for a professional tool do you need to spend a lot more money

Great basic service tool for your Land Rover

I bought this device to service my Range Rover. Though you cannot do everything deep within the computer of the car (ie program key fobs) you can scan modules, reset error codes and reset the oil change light.For the price, it’s a great service tool for simple jobs such as O2 sensor replacement.If you need more functionality like keep programming, it will cost you much for for the GAP Tool and iland software app for your phone.Dollar for Dollar, best value to know what’s going on inside your Range Rover including real-time info from the system.Drawbacks include having to read each module separately and some of the limited functionality.

So far, it appears to work well with my 2010 Range Rover Sport SC

I have now used this a few times, and it does seem to work. So far I have used it to diagnose check engine light for dirty MAF sensor issue and then reset Check Engine light, Reset oil service life after I did my oil change myself, and also to diagnose an evap issue that was a gas cap issue as the culprit.So far this has been useful and although a bit higher cost than other scan tools, the quality seems pretty good.

Not technical enough for my Range Rover. It will read some codes and clear some but not others

Big Bang for the buck.

The short and skinny...Unless you want to pay in the least a couple of grads ( 2+ K $ ) for an Eqquss tool and a subscription to your car's manufacturer this is the best tool for your money. And yes I've been repairing Jaguars for 13 Yrs. now.
